Michael Abdurrahman Fitzgerald is originally from California. After completing their university studies, he and his wife migrated to Morocco in 1976. Abdurrahman holds an M.S. in Education and has studied with numerous Moroccan teachers over the years. After working for many years with the American Cultural Association of Morocco, he co-founded the Center for Language and Culture in 2009. He has translated over a dozen works, mainly on aspects of Sufism. Mohamed Fouad Aresmouk is descended from a family of scholars whose origins are near the city of Taraoudant in southern Morocco. His grandfather was a renown Quran teacher and a shaykh of the Tijani Order in Marrakesh in the first half of the 20th century and his father was a life-long inspector of Arabic studies in the public school system. Fouad holds a degree in Arabic and Islamic studies from Qadi Iyyad University, Marrakesh, and in addition has studied with a number of teachers of Qur’ an, ?adith, and Sufism, and has been a co-translator of number of Sufic works.
