Mar Pavón (Manresa, Spain, 1968) is a writer mainly dedicated to children's literature. Some of her extensive work is translated into English, French, Portuguese, Italian, German, Dutch, Chinese and Korean, among other languages. She has been honored with prestigious awards in the US, some of which were presented by the International Latino Book Awards. Her most significant work is Yeray Poeta, published following the birth of her son in 1996. Her most popular character is “Clucky the Hen”, created in collaboration with the illustrator Mónica Carretero, winner of several awards and recognitions.

The memories of María José Olavarría go back to a childhood full of dreams, built from castles of a thousand colors, where her brush was the most precious communication tool. She studied Graphic Design at the University of Valparaíso (Chile). After some professional experiences and dedicating herself to motherhood by heart and choice, she reinvented herself playing with textures and techniques, until she recognized that illustration completed her soul and allowed her to rescue and playfully capture the magical world of hers. She has lived for eleven years in southern lands, in the countryside near Temuco, in Chile, surrounded by nature and her four children, who are her source of inspiration.
