Jean. Vladimir. Paul Bugiel est né le 22 avril 1911 à Paris. Après de brillantes études au lycée Henri IV, il est titulaire d'un doctorat de médecine en 1936, il fut gynécologue et radiologue à l'hôpital Saint Joseph et à l'hôpital Cochin, il est l'inventeur du Rein artificiel Gasca - Bugiel en 1953 et chercheur libre avec Mirko Beljanski.
