Reviews
Must read
"Has I started reading, I was wondering what so special about this book. It did not feel that good. But then a small paragraph and you say wow, then another, then another. It change the way I see life for the better."

Man’s Search for Meaning… I am almost there.
"It’s sold millions of copies, and Frankl’s description of his time in concentration camps is compelling reading. At first I wasn’t sure about his thesis…that being aware of the meaning of your life, knowing why you are here and taking strength from that to overcome the worst that can happen to you is vitally important. Only 1 in 28 who were in camps like Auschwitz survived. Were the ones who could see a future, and an important role in it, the ones who survived? Maybe, but surely other factors played a role. I liked Frankl’s emphasis on love and how important it is in providing meaning to our lives."
— Anne (4/5)
Not a 'light' read!
"Maybe just my perspective, but very grim being about the author's views on human resilience and mindset while encased within a concentration camp, but I could not get past this first half of the book. Very depressing in my opinion. Will pick up where I left off at some point to see if my perspective changes."

A good dose of perspective
"What an incredible and timeless book. The author’s story of his long journey in a concentration camp, and then his reflections afterwards are so inspiring for anyone trapped in a victim mentality. This is one that I’ll read again and again."
— Mark (5/5)
— Conrad (5/5)
10/10

One of the ten most influential books in America. —Library of Congress/Book-of-the-Month Club "Survey of Lifetime Readers"
"Viktor Frankl's timeless formula for survival. One of the classic psychiatric texts of our time, Man's Search for Meaning is a meditation on the irreducible gift of one's own counsel in the face of great suffering, as well as a reminder of the responsibility each of us owes in valuing the community of our humanity. There are few wiser, kinder, or more comforting challenges than Frankl's." —Patricia J. Williams, author of Seeing a Color-Blind Future: The Paradox of Race
"Dr. Frankl's words have a profoundly honest ring, for they rest on experiences too deep for deception… A gem of a dramatic narrative, focused upon the deepest of human problems." —Gordon W. Allport, from the Preface
"An enduring work of survival literature." —The New York Times
