Addison J. Ireland was born and raised just outside of Seattle, Washington. She was the thirteenth child in a family of fourteen children. In 1988, Addison married a man from Saudi Arabia and moved to Jeddah, near the Red Sea. During her time overseas, Addison became close to her mother in-law and learned the customs and language from her. Addison had four children and became an elementary school teacher while living in Jeddah; working with the niece of the King at an international school. Addison Ireland has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies and a Masters in Education Degree. It is her sincere hope that by writing her memoirs, other women will find the inner strength to deal with hardships and adversity in order to move on in their lives.
