Reviews

Starting my Neil Gaiman journey

"I enjoyed the book quite a bit; I couldn't put it down!"

Sammy (4/5)

Fantasy at its best.

"I love Neil Gaiman's books (Graphic novels and novels) and this one did not disappoint. This is what you read when you want to dream, take your mind off your regular life, and just disconnect."

Sandy (5/5)

👍

"It reminds me of a story I’d have read as a kid. And that’s a good thing"

Jedk (5/5)

An enjoyable trip into another world just under our noses.

"I wanted to love it. I'm glad a read it. I wasn't entirely swept into it. . . I think the darker characters may have been a little over-the-top dark for me, and I hadn't expected the two of them to pop up quite so much. Richard has a bumbling goodness to him that I enjoyed very much. Loved Door's ability to open doors. Satisfying ending."

Jordan (3/5)

Excellent writing, dark material

"I found that I couldn’t finish this book. Despite of it being written incredibly well, it is perverse in more than one way. ."

Janet (3/5)

Great read

"Engaging and thrilling. Couldn’t put the book down"

Anna (5/5)

Yeah, I guess it was alright.

"I don’t think this was Neil Gaiman’s best in terms of plot (or likeable protagonists), but the world was super interesting. Still probably worth a read mainly for that."

CGMG (3/5)

Gazzarini (5/5)

A “Door” to a new author

"It’s amazing. I’ve been looking for a more mature fantasy esc book, as it’s my preferred genre. And it’s been really hard to find a good one. But this one is simply amazing. Neil Gaiman’s way of storytelling is entrancing and the story was so well thought out. Could barely put it down. I would totally recommend it for those who like fantasy stories especially with gothic undertones."

Sofi (5/5)
