This is a book with visual ideas created by well-known American illustrator/designer Jerry W. McDaniel during the early days of the first term of Barack Obama's Presidency. The artist created one visual per day based on interesting stories he found in The New York Times, from Inauguration to March 1st, 2009. The artist has subscribed to this newspaper since his college days. Later McDaniel was commissioned by various large corporations, such as Pan American Airlines, Inca Nylon, Intercontinental Hotels to create full-page advertisements in The New York Times. He also had illustrations in The Times, and in the New York Times Magazine. The visuals in this book represent Obama and political events. The visuals are eye-catching and intriguing. All skills McDaniel is known for appear in this book where ideas are expressed through symbolic-surrealism sublimal factors in the use of color and typography. This piece of work represents the artist's appreciation of Obama, his favored President.
