Carol Batchelor (B.A., M.A. [Literarure]) wrote, directed and starred in her first play in Grade 4. In Grade 9, the assignment was a story not shorter than three hand-written pages; Carol turned in 15 typewritten pages, a story entitled "Miss Pringle's School for Young Ladies." She later learned that the English teacher read it aloud to every one of her classes. After university, Carol's first paid writing gig was as a back cover blurb writer for Harlequin Enterprises. She then went inside as an associate editor. She has been an editor and freelance writer for over 30 years. Carol lives and works near Toronto, Ontario.
