Rupert set himself the challenge of drawing a new cartoon every day and Off the Leash was born and is now a worldwide phenomenon. Off the Leash The Secret Life of Dogs(Boxtree, October 2013) is a best-seller and has been sold in the USA (Saint Martin's Press) as well foreign language editions in Finland, Italy, Czechoslovakia and Germany. Rupert is the creator of FRED. The cartoons made their first appearance on a series of greeting cards and now, with more than 700 designs and growing, sales currently exceed 8 million cards. The cartoons were also picked up by MIDWEEK magazine, who ran them for two years, following which they appeared for a further four years in the MAIL ON SUNDAY. His newest creation is On The Prowl, featuring beautifully observed, charming cartoons of cats.
