Scott Rasmussen has long been recognized as one of the world’s leading public opinion pollsters and top political analysts. He is the president of RMG Research and founder of the Napolitan Institute.

Innovation has been a hallmark of Scott’s career. In 1978 he changed the world of sports as cofounder of ESPN, taking advantage of the then new technology of satellite communications. As the internet came to life in the ’90s, Scott became the first pollster to offer data directly to the public rather than through a network reporter. Scott later revolutionized the polling industry with automated polling, being described by The Wall Street Journal as a “key player in the contact sport of politics.”

Today, Scott continues to innovate. He and the Napolitan Institute have partnered with Jigsaw, Google’s tech incubator, to develop new ways of measuring public attitudes and values. The results of this “We The People” partnership will be highlighted in events surrounding America’s 250th birthday celebration.

Scott focuses on the deeper currents of public opinion and values rather than the surface reaction to passing events. His work consistently show that the American people continue to embrace our nation’s noble founding ideals even if their leaders do not.

His recent work for the Napolitan Institute has shown how the Elite One Percent have rejected those ideals of freedom, equality, and self-governance. His knowledge of history enables him to put events into a larger context and show how this elitist revolt is the root cause of contemporary political turmoil.
