A fun, adventurous tale of friendship, courage and the learning of peace and respect, "Peace Pool Magic" takes place in a private middle school academy in Hawaii. Bullying stops, and meditation and student empowerment play out through the interaction of five middle-school students and the mystical Menehunes. The story: Mana's worry about rich kids being mean at the private middle school academy fades as he meets his friendly roommate, but returns when Jason bullies. Unbeknownst to Mana, close to the school is the last slice of land the Menehunes have left. Pushed to the edge of an island in Hawaii, the Menehunes have used their mystical powers to keep humans out. One day, as Jason follows Mana in the forest to beat him up, the human boys and Menehunes accidentally collide as Pa'a misjudges making lightning and Leia gets so scared that she changes into her dolphin form. A gift of a Menehune whistle and a few days later, Mana and Jason climb a huge redwood to visit their new friends and the Menehune peace pools. They find the tiniest of Menehunes know more about peace and self-respect than they do! A few friends gradually come to know the secret and join them in the Menehune meadow beyond the cliffs. The Menehunes ask Mana for help when developers buy the mountain where they dwell. What can kids do? Mana wonders. Would Menehune peace pool magic work?
