Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission—and if he fails, humanity and the earth itself will perish.
Except that right now, he doesn’t know that. He can’t even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it.
All he knows is that he’s been asleep for a very, very long time. And he’s just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.
His crewmates dead, his memories fuzzily returning, Ryland realizes that an impossible task now confronts him. Hurtling through space on this tiny ship, it’s up to him to puzzle out an impossible scientific mystery—and conquer an extinction-level threat to our species.
And with the clock ticking down and the nearest human being light-years away, he’s got to do it all alone.
Or does he?
Hailed by USA Today as “an epic story of redemption, discovery, and cool speculative sci-fi,” Project Hail Mary is an irresistible interstellar adventure as only Andy Weir could deliver.

Reviews
The title is appropriate since the project is mankind's last chance to save themselves.
"Project Hail Mary is a terrific book! Weir is quite knowledgable about outer space science and this makes for a very compelling read. As well, the novel has suspense which makes it a page turner! You can't go wrong with this book. I can't wait for the movie to come out!"
— Jeff H. (5/5)
One of my favourite SciFi novels!
"Ryland Grace wakes up as the sole survivor on a spaceship sent on a ‘Hail Mary’ mission to figure out why Earth’s sun is rapidly dimming. The only problem is that he doesn’t remember who he is or why he’s there, and the story unfolds through flashbacks as he realizes that he is the only one who can to save humanity from extinction. Important: if you don’t like spoilers, you should read the book before you watch the movie trailer!"
— Patricia B. (5/5)
If you can read, you should pick this book up!
"This book is a master piece, and I believe anyone who is interested in Sci Fi, must read this book. Smooth writing style, easy to start, and great ending. Also I loved the fact how similar and compeletly opposite the story was to Martian."
— Jasmine (5/5)
