The author is a graduate of Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. Internship and residency training followed at the Medical College of Wisconsin. A two year tour was required with the US Navy under the Ensign 1914 program during the Viet Nam War. After completion of this obligation, he practiced medicine in the private sector for 12 years until overcome by governmental bureaucracies making it unethical to practice medicine. He discovered himself telling sea stories and chose the Navy flight school training in aerospace medicine to serve the greater good of national defense. After his second tour in the Philippines and Japan, he finalized his career as the Wing flight surgeon for EA-6B Prowlers (CVWP). He served many squadrons and call sign is "Discodoc". He is a general aviation instrument pilot, a sailor, married with two loving children, grandchildren and step daughter who is responsible for the cover photo overlooking Penn Cove, WA. Edward is very proud to be an American citizen and student of the Constitution. He takes pride in being the idea man behind the Olympia Tea Party and a President's club member of Hillsdale College.
