Ashley Spires graduated from the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design with a BA. She works as a multi-media artist, creating everything from web sites to handmade books, to finger-puppets. She is the author and illustrator of five books featuring Binky the Space Cat (Basile chat de l''espace) as well as Small Saul (Petit Paul) and C''mere Boy! (Chien recherche garçon). Ashley also illustrated Scary Science (Le labo des malins) by Shar Levine and Leslie Johnstone. The artist lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
