Early in 1966, Gail Arreak eagerly begins her new job with Canada’s Department of Fish and Oceans. Within a month, a desperate call from her uncle takes her to the Arctic to investigate a sea monster sighting. Rain Bird chronicles her investigation, which reveals the existence of a brand new and secret Soviet experiment that could reshape the world as they know it. She quickly becomes embroiled in a mission to sabotage the experiment and capture its creator.
