Bob Rae was Premier of Ontario from 1990 to 1995, served multiple terms as a federal MP, and was interim leader of the Liberal Party of Canada from 2011 to 2013. He was Ambassador to the United Nations from 2020 to 2025 and is a Companion of the Order of Canada. He is the author of many books, including What Happened to Politics? and Exporting Democracy: The Risks and Rewards of Pursuing a Good Idea. He lives in Toronto, Ontario.
