So, I Met This Guy . . . is a madcap adventure through Europe as one young journalist and one defrauded woman team up to track down the romance swindler who changed the course of their lives. Flick and Maggie are an unlikely pairing who shine on the page, and the twist at the end is chef’s kiss. A perfect read for your next vacation!”
—Catherine Mack, author of Every Time I Go on Vacation, Someone Dies

So, I Met This Guy . . . has everything I love: A con man, two spunky, clever women on a mission, a sparkling European chase, and a witty, empowering reminder that sometimes being scammed out of everything you have is exactly what it takes to find who you are.”
—Ann Garvin, author of I Thought You Said This Would Work

“Warm, witty, and wise, So, I Met This Guy will have you cheering for Maggie and Flick from the first page to the very last! An absolute triumph!”
—Mike Gayle, author of All the Lonely People

“Alexandra Potter is a genius! So, I Met This Guy has two brilliant central characters, a rip-roaring plot, and some of the best twists I’ve ever read—there’s no way you’ll ever predict them! But I can confidently predict one thing—it is going to be THE mega hit of 2026!”
—Matt Cain, author of The Madonna of Bolton

“A thrilling chase through Europe to catch a romance fraudster, So I Met This Guy . . . will have you rooting hard for Maggie and Flick as they race through the streets of Rome and casinos of Monaco. This book is a celebration of friendship and all the unpredictable, messy joys that life contains, no matter what age we are.”
—Sophie Wan, author of Women of Good Fortune

“Unputdownable from page one, Alexandra Potter’s joyful Mediterranean adventure is the definition of escapism: it has two brilliant central characters, a twisty plot, and an ending that sums up the power of female friendships.”
—Jane Costello, author of It’s Getting Hot in Here

A romp through Europe to catch a romance scammer

"I don’t usually like ""madcap"" or ""zany"", but Alexandra Potter has a gift for engaging banter, lovely characters and beautiful scenery. Alternating the viewpoint between young Flick and older Maggie offers something for everyone and the travelogue aspect of their adventure creates a real aspirational feeling to the novel. After all, who wouldn’t want to tag along a two week adventure through greatest European cities, even if you’re trying to track down the man who scammed you out of your life savings along with the young journalist who wants to expose him?"
