How does one
Soften a hardened heart?
Settle a circling mind?
Rest a fatigued body?
Softening the Inner Hardness is a collection of thirty meditative passages written for all the tired souls out there who have been through enough, but may not yet have recognised that.
Perhaps the guilt, regret, fear or shame
Carried over the years
Are all yearning
To be
Witnessed with honesty, and
Released with compassion.
Within this book
Allow yourself to sit with each word
Presented through unexpected perspectives
Sometimes direct
Sometimes tender
Sometimes poignant, but
Ultimately very human.
At the end of the journey
Perhaps you will find yourself
A little less tired
A little more seen.
This collection stands on its own. It is also a companion volume to Dr. Nicole Lee's earlier work, Seeing the Same Thing in a Different Light, which offers a different angle of light on how we perceive.
About the Author:
Dr. Nicole Lee is a former physician, certified regression therapist, and founder of The Consciousness Centre in Singapore.
After fifteen years of medical practice across the full arc of human life, she transitioned to support individuals navigating the deeper dimensions of healing and consciousness.
Alongside her writing and publishing work, she offers Recognition & Orientation sessions for those who have lived through long phases of inner or healing work and sense they may be at a natural turning point from healing to living.
Through her years in medicine and therapeutic work, writing, mothering, and the rhythms of daily life, Nicole came to see that healing does not culminate in perfection or transcendence, but in balance and presence within living.
Softening the Inner Hardness is her seventh book.
