Art. Art heals. This is a photographic essay and narrative of a father's love for his sons and his love for his nephews. In light of the constant news cycle of black men being killed and marginalized, Al Harden guides and heals with love and protection to every son in America. As Al protects his children, he is embracing the Sonscape in him and within everyone of his generation through a simple yet powerfully sensible and spiritual path to protect his and all of our children.

SONSCAPE (A Guide to Jumpstart the Conversation that Traverses the Terrain to Manhood) was exhibited in Redwood City, California in 2016. It is a brilliant exhibit of photography and words that addresses every day issues that opens eyes on a new level. Hundreds of people recognized the value of this poignant essay by bringing family, friends and colleagues to see the exhibit. It transformed kids, it transformed adults. It opened up a dialogue to address this grave social issue as we keep our kids safe, and a dialogue for us to listen to them. We all need to talk.
