Give it a Shot!

"Caught my eye from the get-go. T. Kingfisher is an amazing novelist."

Lovely story

"It is my first book from this author. I was primely draw to this book by the cover and I am happy it did. Such a lovely writing style. The story is well paced. I recommended this book 100%. It will not be the last one from this author for sure."

Loved!

"One of the best fantasy romance books I have read recently! I Loved the atmosphere, the setting, and the characters. This book does a great job portraying complicated and problematic relationships, and how easy it is to misread red flags. Highly recommend this book!"

Sam S. (5/5)

A New Favourite

"A new favourite, to be sure! Many seem to be describing ""Swordheart"" as a cozy fantasy, which isn't quite how I would call this story. This book tackles pretty serious subjects like suicide, exploitation, religious abuse, murder, treason and punishment — hardly a ""cozy"" setting. Yet, I can't remember ever laughing this much whilst reading. Kingfisher's characters are so uniquely charismatic and the dynamic between them is simply brilliant. I feel like there could have been a bit more emphasis on some of the ""magical"" aspects, such as the making of the enchanted swords, Silas's certified ""not possessed by a demon"" bird that randomly roars about the end of the world and the damned, and the Vagrant hills (including its inhabitants). While Halla and Sarkis seem to have found their HEA, the book does end on a cliffhanger, so perhaps the sequel ""Daggerbound"" will clear some of those remaining mysteries."

A classic T Kingfisher fantasy

"Another lovely T Kingfisher with fun characters and an amazingly built world. T Kingfisher has such a way of making the main characters so likeable while still making the side characters so delightful. This was such a fun read and what a beautiful cover!"

Mariah (5/5)

A Fun Free Spirited Fairytale!

"This novel is whimsical and fun fairytale full of heart, humour and hunky men in swords. This novel is truly a perfect balance of laugh out loud humour, blush-worthy romance and intriguing fantasy world building that has made me so curious about the other novels by Kingfisher that take place within this world. The writing was lyrical and the characters were lovely and sophisticatedly crafted into people you easily fall in love with and cheer on."

MissMalayny (4/5)

Delightful!

"This is another delightful fantasy romance by Kingfisher. I love her witty humor and unique magic system. Her characters are actual adults who are flawed, relatable and endearing. I had read Swordheart previously, but when I saw this beautiful re-release I had to buy and read it again. Loved it the second time around too!"
