I am entertained - and better for reading this

"This is Mary Beard at her best: approachable, thought provoking, and accessible. You don't have to be interested in the ancient world to find this book relevant - it's got me thinking about the reasons for my discomfort with the current state of news reporting. The genesis of this book was a Berlin Family Lecture series Beard gave at the University of Chicago. If you are the least bit curious about this book it's worth watching them on YouTube."
