Randy Plummer is from the actual small country community of Knob Lick, Missouri. Knob Lick is securely nestled in St Francois County between Farmington and Fredericktown in southeast corner of the state. Randy lived on the Knob Lick family farm for 16 years, before moving to Branson, Missouri with his Mom and Dad (Darrell and Rosie Plummer) and sister, appropriately named Melody. Together the family opened one of the first live music shows in Branson. "The Plummer Family Country Music Show" debuted in 1973, and continued entertaining and delighting guests through 1990, helping to establish this once obscure backwater, snuggled neatly into the Ozark Mountains, into the "Live Music Capitol" of America. Though The Plummer Family presented their last live Branson show in 1990, Randy continues to entertain enthusiastic Branson guests in live venues throughout the city. After 40 years as a musical icon, Randy was inspired to give Christmas a unique new life. It was the family friendly stages of Branson that spawned the original "Snowdeer" Christmas Story and musical CD in 2011. With his own hometown of Knob Lick in cameo as the birth place of Snowdeer, Snowdeer, like his creator leapt off the pages of his Christmas story and onto the Branson stage. The pages of the original book could not contain the love and enthusiasm of Snowdeer's new companions and friends, making new adventures inescapable.
