"This is a clever, easy to follow, well researched, historical fiction with both thriller and romance elements. It is set in 18th century England and told from two points of view. I enjoyed that the writing enabled me to feel empathy for both the main characters. There were a few good twists, lots of wonderful period detail, and the author has included some real people as characters, so it was educational as well. I loved it.
