MICHAEL DECTER, a Harvard-trained economist, is the founder and CIO of LDIC Inc. He served as Deputy Minister of Health for Ontario and Cabinet Secretary in Manitoba. Michael is a well-recognized expert on health care policy. He was the founding chair of the Health Council of Canada. He served as chair of Medavie Inc. and Patients Canada. He is also a trustee of the Auto Sector Health Care Trust and chair of its Finance, Audit and Investment Committee.

MIKE McCARTHY is widely recognized across Canada as a stellar health care advocate and system expert. As a volunteer vice-president of the Canadian Hemophilia Society, Mike was the national spokesperson for Canadians infected by blood tainted with hepatitis C. His tireless efforts resulted in a landmark $2 billion settlement with the federal government in 2006 and the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, presented by the Governor General of Canada.
