I'm definitely glad I gave it a chance, as it was a great read. I had trouble putting it down myself. It opens your eyes to the difficult lives many people are faced with."

The Glass Castle

"Ideal if you’re a fiction reader looking to branch out into non-fiction, it reads in a very narrative fashion, it’s tough subject matter at times, seeing how these kids are being raised but it also has its triumphant moments as well. #plumreview"

Wow

"Amazing that this is a memoir. The resiliency of the human spirit! Gives readers a fresh perspective on homelssness versus individual virtues and the growth of mutual respect for lives lived according to one's own convictions."

Such a strong story

"Each time i turned the page I had to remind myself that this story is a memoir, that it is real people, taking part of real events. It just seems like another world that one can fully envelop themselves in causing you to not stop until the story is finished. Jeanette Walls has an amazing story to tell, one that everyone should read."
