Brilliant! Better than the movie! Love carrying this book with me everywhere!

"This book is alive and reveals so much about Fitzgerald’s mind and storytelling brilliance! I am inspired to finish my novel! And I love the original cover!"

Philip L. (5/5)

The very sketchy The Great Gatsby.

"Very thinly written novel, actually short enough to be a novella, with some soaring language, but fails in character and concept development. Dominated by its time (supposedly occurring in 1922, published in 1925) with the same unquestioned political, misogynist and racist attitudes prevalent then. I was hoping Fitzgerald would tackle financial inequality such that it could actually look towards our time, but he personally was not interested in that, only in wealth and the wealthy. He was obsessed by his fame and lived in his own little world, and this is reflected in this over-hyped book. One doesn't care about any of the characters, as they are all so poorly drafted."

I love classics <33

"I’m going to see the musical soon and I wanted a concept of the story, plus it is a classic so I had to pick it up! It was actually amazing! If you like classics or you are going to see the musical I’d suggest reading it!!"
