On the Sabbath the early Puritans used to gather everybody inside the Church, lock the doors from the inside, and have church all day long, punishing any complainers. Maybe we should give this a try, since the Puritans had such a strong influence on the beginnings of this great country while the Church today is simply watching it decline. Most Evangelicals today will tell you persecution for Christians is coming soon, as they embrace gay marriage, the public School, abortion, and every other Democratic party agenda item. "Love your enemies" is good liberal Evangelical foreign policy. Evangelism for the liberal Church is go out, bring the current culture into the Church and make us their disciples. "We are not judgmental", "We need to show the Love of Jesus", "It's not about the Law, We are not Political. All you have to know to be an Evangelical, plus maybe, a couple more slogans and one liners-and yes-it helps to be a liberal already. If you are an equipped Christian looking for a tough mission field, and can defend the Historic Christian faith, as well as being current on cultural issues, your local Church may be the perfect spot for you.
