In a word, He is a Spirit of truth, and neither dissembleth, to deceive us; nor flattereth, that we may deceive ourselves; but, Vents vera, dicit, being Truth itself, telleth us what we shall find to be most true, to keep us from the dangerous by-paths of error and misprision, in which we may lose ourselves, and be lost for ever.
