A True Classic!

"Glad to finally to have read the original source novel after watching the two movie adaptions. The 1968 novel still resonates with it's timeless values, story lines and characters. Loved it!"

David C. (4/5)

Love the story, but. . .

"I purchased this almost one yer ago, however, I haven't been able to finish this wonderful story because of the stilted language and dialogue! I will try again, but I keep failing. I haven't seen the movie, but I can see that it could make a very good one."

Breezy (3/5)

Meh.

"This one just didn't do it for me. Considering the widespread critical acclaim that True Grit has received, I was expecting so much more from it. I found this novel to be exceedingly anticlimactic and downright boring in parts. It wasn't terrible, just dry. If you're a fan of westerns you should definitely still give this one a shot, but don't say I didn't warn you."
