Great Read

"This book really highlights Molly’s adversity in the face of losing her vision. She took her vision loss and turned it into something wonderful."

LOVED IT 💚

"Thank you to Abram’s Books for gifting me an advance copy in exchange for my honest review. 5/5 If you are going into this book expecting a behind-the-scenes scandal driven exposé about shady business practices and companies who couldn’t care less about their clients as long as they were making them money, than you may be a little disappointed (I say little because there definitely is some of that). But if you’re going into this book, looking for an emotional, unfiltered, Irish-sass-coated narrative from a woman who, statistically, should have been among the 80% of blind individuals left unemployed and heavily discriminated against, but instead, through trepidation, determination, and unapologetically voicing her truth, advocating not only for herself but also those around her who may also feel unseen - then start reading, because this book is for you. Diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa at four years old, Molly Burke refused to let her disability define her. Bullied for most of her teens by her peers and professional colleagues, feeling alone, Molly turned to the internet and developed parasocial relationships with makeup/fashion YouTubers, who empowered and helped her to feel less alone. Realizing she could be that for other people, Molly began slowly carving out her own safe space as a popular YouTuber, disability advocate, motivational speaker, and much more. I loved this book and cannot wait for the final copy to be released in September! Until then, I’m excited to continue to support Molly and whatever is next in her journey. 💚🐕‍🦺📖"
