My fav book series of all time

"This is the first book in a 12 book series. It has become my all time favourite series. I evangelize it to all my friends. I’ve bought all the limited editions signed faux leather bound books and I’ve also bought two copies of Unsouled to regift to friends. So! What to expect: - book 1 was not my favourite to be honest. It was good enough to get me to read book 2 but I didn’t realize while reading it how much I’d end up adoring the series. It’s a bit of a slow start, maybe some weak points in the writing, I’m not sure. - book two introduces a pretty key character and starts to heat up a little and then it’s all non stop pedal to the metal from there. It’s - fast paced - all the fat is cut, only plot critical stuff is in there - dialogue can be super funny, has to be my fav author for humor - action packed - great payoff scenes and plot twist reveals - I didn’t reallly have any expectations ahead of time and it wasn’t halfway through book two that I realized “huh, something about this I could just totally picture it as an anime” which now I realize…. Well yeah the author is a big anime fan so that tracks. However if you’re not an anime fan (I’m not) it’s fine it’s still a great book. I also recommend the audiobooks, the narration is really really good. Glad to see indigo has these in store now, a very welcome addition!"

Brandon Sanderson meets Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Unsouled is a kind of Brandon Sanderson meets Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

wrapped in Naruto. If you’re looking for a non-western setting, this novel delivers

in spades.

Will Wight is the New York Times and #1 Kindle best-selling author of The Cradle series, as well as The Traveler's Gate trilogy and the Elder Empire cycle, though these titles may differ in alternate timelines. His true power is only unleashed during a full moon when he transforms into a monstrous mongoose.

Will lives in Florida, lurking beneath the swamps to ambush prey. He graduated from the University of Central Florida where he received a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and a cursed coin of Spanish gold.
