Kazumi Tabata (1943—2020) was a Grandmaster in Shotokan and Shorinji karate and a key figure in spreading Japanese martial arts in the West. In the U.S. since the 1960s, he founded and led the North American Karate Federation and the New England Collegiate Karate Conference, hosted the first Boston-Asian Festival in 1993, and authored several influential books, including Secret Tactics, Mind Power, and Warrior Wisdom.
"This book covers everything thoroughly yet simply, from immovable heart, fudo-shin (the universe and I are the same), world of the nothingness (mu) and the emptiness (ku), boundary of inner strength, to enlightenment of ancestors including classic texts. This book not only guides you through life but also establishes wealth in your heart by connecting you with various worlds." --Satoshi Nishitani, President, Kawaden Corporation; Chief Director, Japan Businessman Karate-do Federation (from his foreword)
