ALLIAH L. AGOSTINI has marketed everything from iconic brands to scrappy start-ups, but motherhood helped her return to her first love: children’s literature. Author of the acclaimed Big Tune: Rise of the Dancehall Prince, The Juneteenth Story, Great Idea Malia!, and more, she writes to spread truth and to illuminate the breadth of Black joy. Alliah and her work have been featured on Essence.com, TODAY with Hoda Jenna, Morning in America, Good Housekeeping, CNN, NPR, and more. Ms. Agostini resides in New Jersey where she enjoys impromptu dance parties and fossil hunting with her family.

JOELLE MURRAY is an artist passionate about character design and illustrations in various mediums. She is currently working as an illustrator for the Khan Academy Kids app, where she illustrates the early learning books. She also works as a freelance character designer and illustrator.
