Were you my Ariel is a song of life and death of a great-grandmother, mother of a prodigal daughter who returns to Egypt from Canada to tend her. The daughter´s turbulence swings from solitude to rage at her mother´s suffering; the mother´s travail alternates between pain/hope/anguish.
