I was raised in a small town in the beautiful state of Iowa. My upbringing was rather normal, but as always there were a few obstacles I would have to overcome. I found a way to survive the experience and enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 19 and spent the next 26 years serving my country. That was my day job. It earned me a living and provided a young kid a chance to learn from some amazing people in some very interesting environments. At the age of 25 I found my passion, financial literacy. My life changed FOREVER after I read my first "money book." My education outside the classroom, and outside the financial industry, taught me plenty over the years. I learned to challenge the world around me and in so doing, I found ME. I have come out the other side financially free and ultimately happy. I wrote Financial Happine$$ years ago to help others. What Color is the Sky is my second book and it delves into the world of investing and how you can become the wise and successful investor as you maneuver your way around Wall Street and it's "helpers."
