Overview
When Night sleeps, does she wrap herself in a blanket of stars and tiptoe around, looking for a cozy place to settle in? Does she need a warm bath and ask to be snuggled in tight? Does she dream of beautiful and unknowable things?
In gentle, lyrical prose, When Night Sleeps imagines what happens to Night when her job is done and it's time to rest. As the narrator wonders whether Night asks for more covers on a cold winter's night, a young girl helps Night get tucked in and ready for bed. And in the end, Night returns the favor and sends the girl off to slumber.
