Andrew Triska, LCSW, is a psychotherapist, writer, and director of Triska Psychotherapy—a teaching practice focused on training early-career therapists and treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, and hoarding, with a special focus on queer and trans clients with anxiety and OCD. He is author of five mental health and self-help books, including The Gender Identity Workbook for Teens, Parenting Your Transgender Teen, Sexuality and Intellectual Disabilities, and The Gender Deck, a therapeutic card deck.

Triska has dedicated his career to working with underserved clients and disseminating evidence-based information to therapists and the public. In addition, he consults and trains on OCD treatment, queer inclusion, and other topics. His engaging, colorful, inclusive mental health and self-help books have received wide press coverage from both mainstream and niche outlets, including Lambda Literary, PopSugar, and Scarleteen. He is a member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), where he was a 2022/2023 conference speaker, as well as a member and USPATH Education Committee member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). He can be found online at www.triskapsychotherapy.com.

“Andrew Triska offers a compassionate and flexible resource for those who’ve struggled with the first-line treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)—exposure and response prevention (ERP). This book can help readers better understand their experiences and supplement effective treatment with fresh, creative strategies.”
Jonathan Abramowitz, PhD, professor of psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and author of Living Well with OCD
