Haskell "Hack" Campbell was born in 1960 and grew up in the mountains of East Tennessee. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Divinity Degree from Duke Divinity School, graduating magna cum laude. He is also a certified Master Hypnotherapist and Reiki Master. He has experience working in the fields of nuclear submarine and advanced missile system design and construction. He also served as an Ordained Minister in the United Methodist Church for twenty years. Haskell brings together a unique combination of scientific knowledge, theological training, and holistic healing arts, as well as a lifelong love of horror and science fiction to his writing.

Haskell's previous writing experience involved technical writing and theological essays. WHERE THE OLD TEETH LIE is his first fiction novel, inspired by the tales told to him by his great-grandparents and great-aunts and uncles, who were born in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Recently retired, Haskell likes to spend his free time gardening, woodworking, and watching the variety of wildlife that lives around his secluded mountain property, which he lovingly refers to as Spirit Falls.
