Had the nurseryman filled his nursery rows with native plants, his trade would have been extremely dull, and had the gardener used them conspicuously in his planting of public grounds and private lawns, he would have had but little call for his services.

But it is a pleasure to note the decided reaction that is taking place, and year after year we see a rapidly growing demand for natives by a plant-loving public in fact, many 'of' the newer public and private parks and pleasure grounds have a predominance of native plants in their make-up.
