It's very easy to draw back into perdition as a christian if we're ignorant of the grace God has given us to overcome the guilt and shame arising from our past, and sinners too can be hardened the more against God if no one tells them God is more than able to handle their evil past and turn it into great testimonies.

"You, your past and the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ" is a grace God has given every believer to put the devil to shame concerning his accusations and condemnation of believers concerning the dark sides of their past.
