“Tam Lin by Pamela Dean (an underrated dark academia fantasy romance masterpiece that I will never stop shouting about) or anything by L.M. Montgomery (Avonlea = the ultimate cozy romance vibes).”

“Organized chaos.” 

What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever researched for a story? 

“How to hold onto a dragon without a saddle.”

“A signed copy of Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood.” 

What’s the strangest thing in your workspace? 

“A white noise machine. Most authors I know listen to music, but I find most outside noise too distracting. I recently read an interview with Pierce Brown where he mentioned playing white noise while writing, so now I feel slightly less weird for this one!” 

What Canadian season best matches your writing style?  

“Winter is when I’m most productive as a writer. Nothing like a cozy Canadian blizzard to trap you in place and help you focus creatively. (Probably why we have so much prairie lit…)”
