Shoalts Never Disappoints!

"I really enjoyed this book; I don't want the four-star review to deter anyone from picking it up. Shoalts is not only an impressive explorer, he also has a talent for recounting his journeys through text. Every step of his journey is interesting and engaging and he describes everything in such vivid detail that you can completely immerse yourself in his words and feel transported into his memories. I enjoyed reading this book; I simply enjoyed his first memoir more, so I felt that I had to remove a star for that reason. I can't wait to pick up the next one!"

—Nicolas Ross, What’s Not to Hike? blog

“Shoalts’s love of nature, cool professionalism, and almost archaically romantic spirit draw us into his adventures. . . . Shoalts is a knowledgeable and observant guide.”
