Best Community Criminology History Book@

"Still reading the book but it is packed with so much information and is shared in a way that keeps me thinking about what I learned in class - how it applies to real life. The graphs and charts are super helpful as well!"

Engaging, interesting, relevant, thought-provoking. Overall amazing.

"This was a very interesting book about a problem that does not get enough attention. It's very different from a Malcolm Gladwell-like book in that it is meant to be informative more than entertaining, but it was extremely well-done. There are few books I have learned as much from as Bowling Alone. Putman was very objective too, showing all the angles to the various aspects of social capital. The number of relevant statistics and examples was also very impressive. I really have nothing to critique about this book, I would encourage anyone interesting in the trend for people to socialize less over the years to read this book."

Bowling Alone provides important new data on the trends in civic engagement and social capital. . . . It is a formidable achievement. It will henceforth be impossible to discuss these issues knowledgeably without reading Putnam’s book and thinking about it.”
