“Ben Rankel’s FRANK is a timeless tale of money, murder and Mother Nature, powerfully told and vibrantly illustrated. Highly recommended for all fans of historical dramas.” – Brian K. Vaughan (Saga, Paper Girls)“With FRANK, Rankel strips away the stuffiness of most historical fiction and delivers a compelling mystery full of engaging characters, set against the days leading up to the Turtle Mountain slide that buried the mining town. A must-read for history, mystery and comic buffs!” — Troy Nixey (Vinegar Teeth, The Black Sinister, Trout)"Frank is a perfect fusion of contemporary style with fascinating historical content and smart storytelling. More than any other graphic novel, this feels like the perfect bridge to the medium for anyone curious who hasn't yet taken the plunge." — Shea Proulx, author of ABC Monstrosity and Alice at Naptime“With FRANK, Rankel strips away the stuffiness of most historical fiction and delivers a compelling mystery full of engaging characters, set against the days leading up to the Turtle Mountain slide that buried the mining town. A must-read for history, mystery and comic buffs!” — Troy Nixey (Vinegar Teeth, The Black Sinister, Trout)“From the lush and original colors, to the captivating and perplex narrative that hooks readers in, FRANK is both faithful to a profound moment in Canadian history while still creating something new and exciting to engage comic fans who may not even care about Canadian history. From the alluring cover, to the calm and composed conclusion, FRANK is an enticing dabble through Canadian history told from one of the most promising prospects in comic books.” Rating: 5/5 — Fox Force Five“‘Readers of Frank will be drawn into the compelling mystery of the graphic novel and the race to solve it before the evidence is destroyed by the historic Frank slide […] I recommend Frank to readers who enjoy historical graphic novels or mystery novels. The artwork is beautifully drawn and is as historically accurate.” — Canadian Materials
