"This series definitely is not for everyone. It deals with a lot of mental health issues and some triggering topics even more so in the last few volumes. I advise people take care to look into possible triggers before diving into the series. Otherwise, I truly enjoy the work of Inio Asano. If you are fine with some darker underlying topics, I definitely recommend giving it a read."

"Negative here doesn't mean the series is bad. It is EXCELLENT. Do not read it if you are easily affected by negative thoughts. This is not meant for readers looking for a """"light read"""" or """"easy read"""". You can't stop once you start. The ending will remain with you for a while. . . whether it is in a good or a bad way, is up to you. I wouldn't recommend this to my friend because I want to keep it to be my secret gem. . . sorry Asano-sensei. :)"

Inio Asano, a bona fide earthling, was born in Ibaraki, Japan, in 1980. In 2001, his short story “Uchu kara Konnichiwa” (Hello from Outer Space) won the first Sunday GX Rookie Prize. Later, GX published his series Subarashii Sekai, available in English from VIZ Media as What a Wonderful World! His other works include Hikari no Machi (City of Light), Nijigahara Holograph and Umibe no Onna no Ko (A Girl on the Shore), as well as solanin and Goodnight Punpun, also available from VIZ Media.
