Absolutely incredible and heartbreaking

"5/5 ⭐️ Pain. Pain is the word I would use to describe this book. Did this book crush me? Yes. Did I enjoy it? Also yes. Iris is so strong to have been through what she went through. It was extremely hard to read about everything she went through. I felt pain and heartbreak seeing how stuck in her situation she was. I knew this book had some sad aspect to it but I didn’t expect it to be so heavy. I did really love it though. I love books that make me feel all these strong emotions. I get so invested in the characters lives and I feel for them. I loved seeing Iris and her recovery. She deserved the world and got given a life she didn’t deserve and yet was stuck in. The healing in this book is so beautiful. I loved seeing her slowly grow her relationship with August and how patient he was for her. He waited so long for her and it was so incredible. I highly recommend this book but also highly recommend you check trigger warnings before starting."
