Great little read
"Thank you so much to @tandemcollectiveglobal and @simonschusterca for sending me a copy of Lucky to read and enjoy on this read a long. Previous to applying to this read a long I had never heard of lucky so it wasn’t even on my radar but it sounded interesting. Because I hadn’t heard of it I had no preconceived notions or expectations of what it would be like and I think that helped me enjoy this read. I found it to be a quick and easy read but it kept me entertained the whole time. Did anything really surprise me in the book? Not really but it was still enjoyable for me. The pace was super fast, and despite being super behind on the actual readalong because I went on holidays and the book arrived when I was gone I was easily able to catch up and finish it in a few days. I was also excited to hear that they had made a TV series with Apple TV, so I started it as well (but it’s different than the boo and I’ve only watched 1 or 2 episodes). I felt bad for Lucky the whole time. I don’t think it was her fault about being brought up in the world she was, it was all she knew. And how do you break out of that curled and cycle when you actually know nothing else? And she did try at one point but then men (insert eye roll). Why do they always have some and mess stuff up? She was happy going to school and then starting her career but oh no, Cary (is that his name I’ve forgot because I hated him hahaha) just couldn’t let her be happy. And her dad, what a piece of work. I would recommend this read to others for sure because I really enjoyed it. I have a few friends asking to borrow it."
