"This novel was quick to read, well written, and thought provoking."

Shay (5/5)

Sharp-witted quick read

"A witty, dark and funny book. Sped through it in a day and a half. Vonnegut hasn't disappointed me yet."

Matt (4/5)

Very good

"I liked this book a lot more than I was expecting to. I read Cat's Cradle before this, and am one of the very few who didn't seem to enjoy it. I decided to give Vonnegut another shot and read Mother Night. It didn't disappoint at all, and I found it to be a very easy read."

Erin (4/5)

reminded me of a noir movie

"i recall this feeling like a noir movie starring carey grant, with witty dialogue. the only kv book ive read without a sci-fi component. liked it, glad to own it, plan on rereading along with sh5 and cats cradle"

Jaxon (5/5)

Not bad

"Not a bad book but took me a while to get into it, and could only read a bit at once. But overall it was still good. Got more into it about halfway through."

Melanie (3/5)

Good read

"A darker, more macabre Vonnegut work, but one that does not disappoint."

Nick R. (4/5)

Wickedly funny and Insightful

"Vonnegut's unique humour and wit allow him to explore complex moral issues with ease and readability"

“A great artist.”Cincinnati Enquirer

“A shaking up in the kaleidoscope of laughter . . . Reading Vonnegut is addictive!”Commonweal
Kurt Vonnegut’s humor, satiric voice, and incomparable imagination first captured America’s attention in The Sirens of Titan in 1959 and established him as “a true artist” (The New York Times) with Cat’s Cradle in 1963. He was, as Graham Greene declared, “one of the best living American writers.” Mr. Vonnegut passed away in April 2007.
