Two friends...One a dog diagnosed with bone cancer, the other his human companion.
This is the story of their unwavering commitment to each other. Princeton, a farm dog, was twelve years old when his cancer was discovered. He was given approximately a year to live. But Princeton had other ideas. He defied the prognosis, and five years later became one the longest known survivors of Canine osteosarcoma.
Part adventure, part veterinary science, Princeton: A Love Story is at its heart an engaging tale of the extraordinary relationship between a man and his dog as they travel through much of Western and Northern Canada while battling the disease that threatens to destroy their unique bond. As they navigate highways, wilderness, and veterinary hospital visits, Princeton and Terry not only form many friendships, but also leave a lasting impression on everyone they meet.
A story of love, trust, and commitment—readers will be left knowing they too shared in the remarkable journey of an even more remarkable dog.
