A great adaptation

"My favourite of the Meant to Be series so far! Follows ""Tangled"" but not so closely as to be predictable. Loved it!"

Kyla (4/5)

The title is, I think very targeted at Ren's confusing attempts at unexpectedly wanting to change the direction of her life, without causing hurt or disappointment.

"I'm enjoying Tangled Up In Me a lot. The concept is original and keeps you reading on to see what happens next. The main characters, Ren and Fitz are interesting misfits. Very enjoyable"

Beverley (5/5)

Cute

"Half way through this book, its a good cute love story"

Tristen (4/5)

Cute but needed more Disney magic

"Tangled is one of my all-time favourite Disney movies so when I saw that the writing duo Christina Lauren had written a Tangled-inspired Romance, I was in! The Gist: Ren (Rapunzel) has spent her whole 22 years living off the grid on a homestead being homeschooled by her parents with hardly any outside interference - no TV (except VHS tapes from the 80's), no radio and limited interactions with the locals in the nearby small town. Her parents allow Ren to go to college (with a whole host of rules she must follow) where she meets Fitz (aka Flynn Ryder) who is known as a lady's man around campus and the two suddenly find themselves on a road trip for different reasons. I enjoyed seeing the Disney references and plot points and secondary characters from the movie were explained with a modern touch. The secondary characters made the movie but here they fell flat with Max's modern twist feeling weird and lackluster, and Pascal (my fav!) barely being mentioned in the book. This was a decent blend of old and new, but the story was a bit too slow moving and tame for my tastes. I felt disheartened that the tough guys Ren and Fitz met on their road trip - not the romance - was the highlight of the book for me. But I appreciated the twists and the reminder that I need to rewatch Tangled. Overall, this was a cute but tame story with a YA romance vibe that fell a little short of Disney magic."

Hit retelling

"Personally loved this retelling of Tangled! The Edward (Fitz) and Ren replicated the Eugene and Rapunzel banter/chemistry so well. The plot kept you engaged till the end - definitely a hit in my books."

RidZai (5/5)

Modern day Rapunzel

"I’m a huge fan of tangled so picking this up was a no brainer for me, but I was seriously so impressed by the modern spin the author put on the story. Even though I knew the story of tangled very well, there were so many unexpected twists and turns in the plot. I became so attached to all of the characters and wanted to read more about them even after I finished the book."

Em C. (5/5)

Christina Lauren + Disney = Awesome

"Beautifully written love story with a modern twist on the fairy tale pair. I loved the little references to the movie throughout."

Emily (5/5)

The cutest adaptation!

"This is such a cute and fun read for any fans of Tangled, or even those who've never seen the movie! It was so exciting to see how Christina Lauren incorporated even the smallest of details from the original story into such a fresh, modern take. I loved it from start to finish!"

Diana R. (5/5)

Disney Movie Tangled Retelling!

"Retellings are a hit or miss, however this was cute. It was of course cheesy at times, but in a good way! This has the Christina Lauren humour and chemistry & is definitely worth the read!"

AS (4/5)

My favourite movie turned book

"Tangled is my favourite Disney, this book is a great twist."
